BREAKING: Terrorists Bomb Abuja-Kaduna Train With Many Passengers Onboard

On Monday, some bandits allegedly bombed the Abuja-Kaduna train link.

An Abuja-Kaduna-bound train carrying people derailed when a terrorist-planted improvised explosive device detonated beneath one of the coaches.

Some of the 970 passengers on board may have been kidnapped by the bandits, according to reports.

This comes just days after terrorists assaulted the Kaduna International Airport, preventing a plane from taking departure.

“They (terrorists) put IED,” a source told our correspondent. The train was derailed when it went off. There was chaos everywhere, and some people may have been taken.”

As of the time of posting this report, no police confirmation has been received.

The incident was confirmed by Fidet Okhiria, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Cooperation.

Okhiria told Blueprint that he has yet to receive more details on the incident.
