BREAKING: FG Moves To Reduce Food Prices

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Wale Edun, addressed the issue of soaring food and commodity prices inherited by President Bola Tinubu’s administration from the previous government.

Despite the challenges, he underscored the government’s dedication to reducing food costs and addressing the country’s high inflation rate.

During his speech at the Public Wealth Management Conference in Abuja on Tuesday, February 20, the finance minister empathized with the difficulties faced by Nigerians and outlined steps taken to mitigate their plight.

Edun disclosed that among these interventions, the government has already released 42,000 metric tons of grains, with an additional 60,000 metric tons set for release in the near future.
