BREAKING: Court Adjourns Appeal To Nullify Buhari’s 2019 Election Victory, Declare Atiku As President

The Court of Challenge in Abuja deferred an appeal to annul President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in the 2019 election to May 18, 2022 on Wednesday.

Recall that the Incorporated Trustees of the Civil Society Observatory for Constitutional and Legal Compliance (CSOCLC) filed an appeal against President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, demanding that he be fired and that former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, who finished second in the 2019 presidential election, be installed as President of Nigeria.

Buhari’s affidavit in the 2019 general elections, according to CSOCLC, was false.

However, during the hearing on Wednesday, a three-member panel presided over by Justice Haruna Tsamani deferred the appeal to allow Buhari’s administration to resolve a dispute over the President’s legal counsel.

This came after two lawyers, Oluwole Afolabi and F. O. Amedu, both claiming to be the genuine legal representatives for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Buhari, announced appearances for both parties.

Due to the resulting misunderstanding, the case was delayed until May 18, 2022.
