BREAKING: Bandits Release Kaduna Emir, Hold On To His Daughter And 12 Others

The Emir of Kajuru, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu, has been freed from captivity.

According to the Daily Trust, thirteen more people were kidnapped from the monarch’s private palace, including his daughter.

According to the report, the Sarkin Kajuru was released in the woodland areas leading up to Kajuru Castle.

According to a member of the Emir’s family, he is well and will be transferred to the hospital for testing.

The monarch’s release was confirmed by Ibrahim Inuwa Kajuru, a former chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in Kaduna.

The Emir has addressed his subjects at his palace, according to the journalist, who is also a native of the town.

It’s unclear if a ransom was paid, but the bandits had previously wanted N200 million for the monarch’s release.

Gunmen kidnapped Kajuru and 13 of his family members from his castle on Sunday morning.
