BREAKING: Amusan makes World Athlete Award final list

The five finalists for the Women’s World Athlete of the Year 2022 Award now include Tobi Amusan of Nigeria, the reigning world champion and record holder in the 100-meter hurdles.

As the countdown to the World Athletics Awards 2022 continues, the names of the five finalists for Women’s World Athlete of the Year have been announced.

A record 1.3 million votes were cast online and through emails using World Athletics’ social media platforms, the organization said.

The World Athletes of the Year 2022 finalists were chosen through a three-way voting process that ended on October 31. The winner will be revealed on World Athletics’ social media channels in early December.
