BREAKING: Ahead Of Planned Move To PDP, Four Govs Meet Mimiko In Ondo [Photos]

Following the anticipated defection of former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, four governors from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are currently in the state.

Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), and Okezie Ikpeazu (Ondo) were among the four governors that arrived to Mimiko’s Ondo town mansion on Thursday (Abia).

According to reports, the governors’ attendance is linked to Mimiko’s plans to rejoin the PDP from his Zenith Labour Party, ZLP.

During the arrival of the governors, Mimiko’s mansion was visited by Agboola Ajayi, the former Deputy Governor of the state and ZLP governorship candidate in the 2020 election, who is likely to join Mimiko on his return to the PDP.

At the former governor’s mansion were three current members of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rasheed Elegbeleye (PDP), Tomide Akinribido (ZLP), and Festus Akingbaso (PDP), as well as the former Speaker of the Assembly, Jumoke Akindele.

Former Chief Judge of the state, Olaseinde Kumuyi, and Gboye Adegbenro, a ZLP chieftain and Deputy Governorship contender in the 2020 election, were also present at the meeting.

Others include Joseph Akinlaja, a former House of Representatives member, and Banji Okunomo, an ex-governorship hopeful, as well as Dr Kola Ademujimi, Eni Akinsola, John-Paul Akinduro, Andrew Ogunsakin, Ayo Fadoju, Afolabi Akinsiku, Bolanle Olafunmiloye, Funmilola Oluwadare

The meeting will be place in a closed room.
