BREAKING: Senate Passes 2022 Budget For Second Reading, Adjourns For Its Defence

The Senate passed the 2022 Appropriation Bill for a second reading on Wednesday and adjourned plenary until November 9 for budget defense.

During plenary, Senate President Ahmad Lawan declared the adjournment.

He forwarded the Appropriation Bill to the Appropriations Committee and asked them to report back in four weeks.

The development came after the conclusion of the budget’s main principles, with each senator expressing his or her thoughts on the document’s contents.
