BREAKING: 17 Residents, Policeman Killed By Bandits In Fresh Attacks On Kaduna

At least 18 persons have been slain in attacks spanning five communities in the Chawai chiefdom of Kaduna State’s Kauru Local Government Area, including a police officer.

Kigom, Kikoba, Kishisho, and Ungwa Magaji are among the villages affected, according to Daily Trust.

The assailants attacked one of the afflicted neighborhoods, firing at anything in sight, according to a resident of one of the impacted communities.

Six individuals were killed in Ungwan Magaji, six in Kikoba, one in Kigam, and five in Kishisho, according to reports.

“The intruders damaged property worth millions of naira in the affected areas, including farmlands,” a resident who chose anonymity claimed.

At the time of filing this report, ASP Muhammed Jalige, the Police Public Relations Officer for Kaduna Command, did not pick up calls or respond to a text message given to him.
