Boko Haram Terrorists Abduct Another Health Worker In Borno

In Borno State, militants from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), formerly known as Jam’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihd, a Boko Haram faction supported by the Islamic State, ambushed and kidnapped Babagana Bulama, a medical professional.

On Wednesday night, the event happened on Nganzai-Monguno Road in the Northern Borno Senatorial District.

Bulama was being held captive by the jihadists while performing official business as a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) staff member for the Borno State Government.

The incident occurred shortly after the assailants abducted Bulama Geidam, a nurse at General Hospital, Gubio.

The North-East has continued to face the challenge of attacks by insurgents, resulting in deaths and displacements.

The Nigerian Army has repeatedly claimed that the insurgency has been largely defeated and it frequently underplays any losses.

The terror group has caused the death of thousands of Nigerians and the displacement of millions of others, particularly in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states.
