Baba Ijesha, Princess, Yomi Fabiyi Arrive In Court Over Sexual Assault Case

Olanrewaju Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha in Nollywood, is currently appearing in the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja for a hearing on his bail application.

According to reports, Baba Ijesha will be charged with sexual assault of a minor on June 24 at an Ikeja Special Offences Court.

After being arraigned on June 16 at a Yaba Magistrates’ Court on charges of indecent treatment of a child, defilement of a child, attempted sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault, Baba Ijesha, who has been in custody since his arrest on April 22, will stand trial before Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges, but Magistrate P.E Nwaka remanded him in custody pending the outcome of the case in the High Court.

As a result of the development, he arrived in court on Thursday in a Black Maria.

Adekola Adekanya, better known as Princess, is also in court, as is Baba Ijesha’s colleague, Yomi Fabiyi, as well as other interested parties in the case. Princess refused to give press interviews, while Fabiyi did.

Baba Ijesha’s bail application is expected to be decided by the court.
