APC Reacts To Alleged Suspension Of Rochas Okorocha From Party

On Tuesday, there was confusion regarding the reported suspension of Rochas Okorocha, a senator from Imo West and a former governor of the state.

According to reports, Okorocha was suspended by the All Progressives Congress’s national body for anti-party conduct.

A letter supposedly signed by APC Caretaker Chairman, Governor Mai Mala Buni, and Secretary, Senator John Akpanudoehede, announced the former Imo State governor’s suspension.

However, after some time had passed, the party responded to the reports by denying that it had taken such action against the politician.

The letter’s signature was faked, according to Akpanudoehede.

The alleged letter was not from the ruling APC, according to an APC spokesman.

“The letter is fake. It is not from us (APC). My signature was forged. The signature on that letter is copy and paste,” Akpanuduoehede told The Nation.
