APC Gov Reveals Plan For Those That Betrayed Him After He Won At Appeal Court

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has spoken on his plan for those that betrayed him during his legal tussle period.

Sule, who was elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, emphasized that he will not utilize his position to retaliate against those who opposed his second-term bid. During a meeting with executive members of the Tsangaya Quranic Reciters, he expressed his commitment to avoiding the negative exploitation of executive powers, citing his religious beliefs.

In his words, Governor Sule stated, “A lot of people are saying if it’s another governor, he would have dealt with all those working against his interest. I am aware of the immense responsibility bestowed on a leader by Islam, and I am willing to accommodate their attitudes.”

He further explained that, as a Muslim, his religion discourages the misuse of such powers, and he has refrained from deploying stringent measures against detractors and enemies of his administration, guided by Islamic principles.

Governor Sule urged the Quranic Reciters Association to include members of the opposition in their prayers, fostering a sense of peaceful coexistence.

Recall that the Nasarawa State Governor was initially sacked by the Election Tribunal which went ahead to declare David Ombugadu of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as the authentic winner of the election. However, the Appeal Court reversed the Tribunal’s decision and restored Sule as Governor.
