APC Crisis Deepens As Presidential Candidate, Tinubu Sacks Senator Binani As Campaign Coordinator In Adamawa

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sacked Senator Aisha Ahmed Dahiru, popularly called Binani as the presidential council’s campaign coordinator for Adamawa state.

The development comes barely 24 hours after news broke that the executive committee of the APC in the state had rejected the female senator as coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in the state.

SaharaRepoters on Wednesday reported that the Adamawa state chapter of APC rejected the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) list for the state, headed by Binani.

Reacting to the story, the party’s presidential candidate, Tinubu, replaced Binani with a former Adamawa state deputy governor, Martin Babale.

A letter to that effect signed by the Plateau state governor who doubles as the Director-General of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council and seen by SaharaReporters, reads in part, “Appointment to serve as Adamawa state Interim Coordinator for Tinubu/Shetima Presidential Campaign Council.

“By way of this letter, I’m pleased to formally convey your appointment as Adamawa state Coordinator of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

“This appointment is fitting and appropriate, given your impressive political achievement and the exemplary leadership you have demonstrated as a major pillar of the party.

“We are confident that your wealth of experience will impact greatly on our mission to drive an effective message-driven campaign.”
