APC Congresses: Enugu Panel Dismisses Claims Of Missing Materials

Reports that result sheets and other materials went missing during Saturday’s exercise have been dismissed by the All Progressives Congress’s ward congress committee in Enugu State.

Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, Chairman of the South East Zonal APC Secretariat, stated this at a news conference in Enugu on Sunday.

He claimed that such claims were the work of individuals who “tried in various ways, either by intimidation or compulsion, to pressurize us to favor them unduly, and failed.”

Arodiogbu, who was flanked by six other members of the committee, stated that the national leadership of the APC deliberately selected them because Enugu State needed to be keyed to the center as the regional capital of the South East zone.

“To enable the APC to occupy the Lion Building of Enugu in 2023, the party believes that it is critical to elect credible and committed ladies and gentlemen who will lead our great party from the ward level, because we know that politics is local, democracy is local, and voting takes place at the ward and community levels; and that is where we are going,” he said.
