Another Big Error In Tinubu’s Record Spotted

Another big error in Bola Tinubu’s record has been spotted.

Chicago State University (CSU) had complied with the court order by releasing the records of President Bola Tinubu as required. The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, made the request in his suit against Tinubu in the US.

Just a day after the academic records of President Bola Tinubu were released by CSU, people have been pointing out discrepancies in the records. According to a report by Daily Trust, in the documents submitted to INEC, Tinubu stated his birthdate as March 29, 1952, a date widely acknowledged, especially through his annual colloquium events until his election to the presidency.

However, according to the records released by CSU, Tinubu’s birthdate is listed as March 29, 1954, creating a discrepancy of two years. Farooq Kperogi, a US-based Professor, who scrutinized the documents, pointed out that while some appeared genuine, he suspected that certain parts of the records might have been forged. He went deeper to give his details of other inconsistencies in the records of Tinubu.

Discrepancies in date of birth and names on one’s official and academic documents are serious issues that can have no small consequences. Specifically, an individual can be born on a particular date, month and year.

Meanwhile, Atiku had openly stated that Tinubu’s records were not consistent which made him file the suit in the US demanding to get the President’s records from CSU. It is widely believed that both Atiku and his legal team are studying the documents with a view to taking the necessary steps afterward.
