President Buhari Invites Senators To Dinner Today

Members of the Senate have been invited to a dinner at the Presidential Villa today (Tuesday) at 8 p.m. by President Muhammadu Buhari.

At the start of the plenary, Senate President Ahmad Lawan read the President’s letter on the Senate floor.

Lawan requested that his colleagues arrive at the Senate wing of the National Assembly by 7 p.m. for a flight to the Villa.

Meanwhile, according to Punch, the President delivered the 2022-2024 Medium Term Expenditure and Fiscal Strategy Paper to lawmakers on Tuesday.

The Senate then suspended its order in order to give the chamber time to consider the request before the parliament’s yearly recess.

As a result, the Senate President directed the communication to the Finance Committee for further action.
