50 Cent Beating: Rudeboy Replies Eedris After He Said They Were Flogged

Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, the second half of the P Square band, has refuted claims made by Eedris Abdulkareem regarding an alleged assault by American rapper 50 Cent and his crew on Nigerian artists, including P-Square, at a Lagos concert in 2004.

Addressing the issue during an Instagram live session with fans, Rudeboy clarified that P-Square did not attend the concert in question due to disagreements over booking fees with the organisers.

He stated, “P-Square did not go for the [50 Cent] concert. We had another concert. We were never billed. The reason was because they offered us peanuts, and we refused.”

Furthermore, Rudeboy accused Abdulkareem of accepting meager compensation from the show organisers after P-Square had declined the offer. He emphasized that the alleged incident involving 50 Cent’s crew did not involve P-Square as they were not present at the event.

Rudeboy asserted, “But Eedris Abdulkareem accepted the peanut and was expecting VIP treatment. 50 Cent crew didn’t beat you well. Respect yourself.”

He concluded by affirming the credibility of his statement, noting the support of other Nigerian artists such as Daddy Showkey and Tony Tetuila who corroborated P-Square’s version of events and labeled Abdulkareem as a liar.
