Zamfara PDP Chairman, Sani Kaura Slumps, Dies After Giving Speech At Event
The leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara state, Dr. Ahmed Sani Kaura, has passed away.
On Wednesday, Kaura sagged during a conference for peace that the state chapter of the Nigeria Council of Ulamah had organized.
Age-wise, he was 62.
Kaura and other PDP stakeholders were summoned by the Council of Ulamah to a meeting to discuss how to stop political thuggery in the state, according to Faruku Ahmed Gusau, the party’s secretary, who verified the occurrence.
He said Kaura’s health worsened after delivering a speech at the event. He noted that he was ill and had not recovered before the event.
Gusau said Kaura was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was later confirmed dead.

The late chairman left behind two wives and six children.
The Nigeria Council of Ulamah had organised the meeting involving all the political parties in the state to ensure the peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections.
