IMPEACHMENT: Wike Reveals What Fubara Is Doing To Bring Him Down

Reports have emerged about the discussions that took place during the peace meeting between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, along with Governors Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa and Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, met with Wike in an effort to mediate between him and his estranged godson, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.

According to an anonymous source who spoke to The Punch, Wike shared his grievances against Fubara during the meeting. The source revealed, “Wike told the governors how he struggled to ensure Fubara succeeded him, but now, the Rivers State governor is empowering his political enemies and distorting his political structure to bring him down.”

The source also mentioned that Wike accused Fubara of collaborating with his adversaries to undermine his political influence and pull down his political structures.

Meanwhile, President Tinubu reportedly made recommendations to both Fubara and Wike to facilitate peace. As a result, the governors decided to await the outcome of these efforts and planned to conduct a similar meeting with Governor Fubara in the future.

Since the tense atmosphere that engulfed Rivers on Monday, uneasy calm has pervaded the state amid efforts to broker peace between the two top politicians whose camps are engaged in the battle.
