Former Chelsea and Arsenal defender William Gallas has made a revelation regarding Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, suggesting that the Nigerian star will make a move to Chelsea in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Gallas drew comparisons between Osimhen and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, expressing his belief that the Nigerian international will make a significant impact in the Premier League.
“Didier was so strong but with Osimhen, he is also very quick,” Gallas remarked during an interview with Genting Casino. “I think they [Chelsea] will sign Victor Osimhen in the summer.”
Despite Osimhen signing a contract extension with Napoli until 2026 last December, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that the striker will depart the club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Osimhen’s performances have attracted interest from top clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain. Gallas concluded, “I am sure he will do a lot of damage in the Premier League.”
