President Bola Tinubu has sent a message to Mexico’s President-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, on her historic victory as the country’s first female President since its independence in 1821.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu celebrated Sheinbaum’s election as a significant milestone that amplifies the voices of women in government, breaks political barriers, and globally underscores the importance of women’s participation in decision-making processes.

Sheinbaum’s decisive victory in the Mexican presidential election marks a historic moment for both the country and the world.

On behalf of the Nigerian government and people, President Tinubu extended warm congratulations to the people of Mexico and expressed a desire to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations in areas of mutual interest.
