Kidnappers demand N15m to free Osun APC chieftain

The kidnappers who abducted a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Kazeem Alli, have demanded the sum of N15 million for his release.

Alli was reportedly attacked with guns and cutlasses by unknown gunmen who trailed him to Oke-Alfa area of Apomu in the Isokan Local Government Area of the State on Saturday night before they took him away.

A family source who spoke with The Nation on Monday said that the kidnappers had contacted the family and demanded N15million ransom.

The family member said that “The kidnappers have reached out to us. They warned us not to let anybody know about the negotiations. They have been reaching the family through the wife, Jemila Alli.

“They demanded N15 million as ransom. We have not spoken with Kazeem Alli since he was abducted. We are praying for his safe return.”

But it was gathered that the APC chairman in the state, Prince Gboyega Famodun, alleged that Alli was attacked by opposition political party members.

Meanwhile, the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, told newsmen that security personnel were combing the bushes to rescue the victim.
