BREAKING: Bandits Kidnap 20 Women Attending Naming Ceremony In Katsina

At least 20 women have been abducted by armed bandits in Katsina, according to SaharaReporters.

They were abducted while attending a naming ceremony in Gidan Bido village, Katsina State’s Dandume Local Government Area.

The incident happened on Friday, according to the Katsina Post.

On Saturday, the gunmen attacked and abducted five men in Dandume LGA’s Unguwar Bawa village.

Unguwar Bawa is the member of the Katsina State House of Assembly who represents Dandume LGA.

In Nigeria’s North-West region, Katsina is one of the states most affected by terrorism and banditry.

On December 11, 2020, 344 students from Kankara’s Government Science Secondary School were abducted by bandits. A week later, they were released.

On the other hand, on December 19, 84 Islamiyya students from Hizburrahim Islamiyya in Mahuta village, Dandume Local Government Area, were kidnapped and rescued shortly afterwards.
