A notorious bandit leader in Zamfara state, Kachalla Sani Black, has been eliminated.

The vigilantes who “finished” the terror merchant also recovered two AK-47 rifles, an undisclosed amount of cash and a PKT machine gun.

PRNigeria further gathered that local vigilantes killed Kachalla and two of his sons in an ambush operation at Magama Mai Rake, in Maru Local Government Area.

Kachalla Sani Black, a leading competitor with Bello Turji in banditry was a notorious bandit leader operating at Chabi, Dan Sadau area of Maru Local Government Area.

PRNigeria reports that Sani- Black was a notorious bandit terrorizing communities and commuters in Northern Zamfara, his boys carried out attacks in Kaduna, Niger, and Kebbi States. At a time, no other bandit leader rivaled Kachalla Sani Black’s influence in Dan Sadau.
He had over 150 armed followers. Sani Black was infamous for leading deadly attacks on Maru, Gusau, Tsafe, and other local government areas in Zamfara State. He also trained some his boys not only in abductions but raping women.

In 2021, police paraded one of his boys, Sani Mati Mai- Yanmata who specialised in kidnapping, raping his female victims including young girls and pregnant women in Shinkafi, Zurmi, and Birnin Magaji Local Government Areas of the State.

The then Zamfara Police Commissioner, CP Ayuba Elkanah, had disclodsed that the bandit was arrested while trying to block a highway around a community called Koliya with intent to unleash mayhem on commuters and abduct innocent citizens.
