Top PDP Chieftain Reveals The Secret Reason Wike Vowed To Stay Back In PDP And Fight

Atiku Abubakar’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity has accused Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), of having malicious intentions towards the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The adviser, Paul Ibe, claimed that Wike’s decision to remain in the PDP was a calculated move to undermine and destroy the party. This statement came in response to Wike’s recent comments during a media briefing, where he declared his intention to stay in the PDP and continue fighting within the party, rather than defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Wike had stated, “I don’t run away from any fight. I will stay there [in the PDP] and fight it out. Who am I going to run from? The vampires?” He also added, “When I was there in the PDP, didn’t I tell them I would not support your presidential candidate? Did I do it secretly?”

In response, Ibe took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize Wike’s motives, writing, “Yes, it is good to fight. But it depends on what you are fighting for (or destroying). If a son stands by and watches his father being insulted and denigrated without defending him, then that son can rightly be called a bastard. Only a prodigal son would sell his father’s inheritance, and only a Judas would betray his master for 30 pieces of silver.”
