JUST IN: Fubara Issues Fresh Warning Over Plot Against His Govt

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has issued a stern warning against any individual or group attempting to disrupt the progress of the ongoing 20,000 housing units project in the state, emphasizing his commitment to safeguarding his government’s initiatives.

Expressing determination to provide adequate accommodation for low-income earners, Governor Fubara emphasized the significance of the project during an inspection of the construction site located along the Obiri-Ikwerre-Airport Road opposite OPM Headquarters in Ohio/Akpor Local Government Area.

In a statement by his media aide, Boniface Onyedi, Governor Fubara underscored the state government’s resolve to deal decisively with any form of sabotage aimed at hindering the project’s advancement.

Addressing concerns raised by certain community members, Fubara asserted, “We didn’t jump into this land, we did all the due diligence that we needed to do… It is a property that belongs to the Rivers State Government under the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority.”

He cautioned against disruptions to the contractor’s work, vowing to personally address any such attempts as a threat to his administration. Fubara emphasized, “In as much as I believe that peace is the major ingredient that we need for every development, it doesn’t mean I will be quiet when I see anybody that will come here to disrupt this project.”

Reaffirming his dedication to providing quality housing for low-income earners, Governor Fubara pledged unwavering support to ensure the project’s successful completion, highlighting the contractor’s commendable progress on the site.

He concluded, echoing the sentiment expressed by the President during the groundbreaking ceremony for the Renewed Hope City, emphasizing the fundamental right of every Nigerian to decent housing.
