Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike triggered mixed reactions yesterday, December 16th, after he landed in Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State, despite threats from some loyalists of the incumbent Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Wike’s visit to Rivers State comes amid the rift between him and Fubara which has reportedly worsened.
However, some Nigerians expressed worry for Fubara yesterday after a group of suspected cultists welcomed Wike in the State.A video shows Wike being welcomed by the men who adorned themselves with red berets.
They chanted slogans and spoke slangs in support of the FCT minister.
While some feared they might try to destabilize Fubara’s government, someone lamented the spread of cultism in Rivers
