Over the past few years, some top security officials of the Federal Republic of Nigeria had been involved in a fatal plane crash accident in Kaduna state.
Kaduna, in northern Nigeria, is a volatile region with a mixed population of Muslims and Christians.
In this article, NEWS DIRECT reports how three top security operatives were involved in plane crash accident in 2012, 2015 and 2021 respectively.
On the 15th of December, 2012, the Ex-Governor of Kaduna state, Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa was killed in a helicopter crash in the southern delta region along with other senior officials.
Ex-Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa and former national security adviser Gen Owoye Azazi were on the helicopter which came down in Bayelsa state.
Nigerian media said the helicopter belonged to the Nigerian navy and had been taking officials to Port Harcourt.
NEWS DIRECT also recalled that in August 2015, a light military plane, Dornier 2k, crashed in Kaduna with all seven on board feared dead.
It was gathered that the pilot, co-pilot, two engineers and three passengers who were inside the plane all perished on their way to Abuja.

The plane was said to have crash-landed on the runway, with the eight people on board feared dead.
