Igboho Should Be Thankful Buhari’s Government Only Planted Guns, Not Bombs In His House — Deji Adeyanju

Deji Adeyanju, a human rights activist, claims that the Nigerian government planted firearms at the home of Yoruba independence hero Sunday Adeyemi, also known as Sunday Igboho.

Deji revealed this in a tweet condemning the government’s security operatives’ killing of two individuals in Igboho’s home.

He further stated that Igboho should be grateful that government operatives had planted guns in his home rather than bombs.

“Igboho should be thanking God that it is only guns they planted in his house and not bombs.

“This hopeless government killed 2 people in Igboho’s house and they are acting like they didn’t committed any crime today,” he said.

The Department of State Services (DSS) previously revealed that two of Igboho’s supporters were slain by joint security operatives during an invasion on his home in Ibadan, Oyo state.

On Thursday night, DSS spokesperson Peter Afunanya briefed reporters on the operation and encouraged Igboho to go to the nearest police station.

He stated that no one is above the law of the land, and that those captured at his home will be prosecuted.

A total of 12 suspects were paraded by the secret police during the combined operation.

Passports, charms, firearms, and money are among the valuables allegedly taken from his home.
