Presidency Reveals Real Reasons Buhari Sacked Two Ministers

President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has explained why two ministers were dismissed of their posts.

Saleh Mamman, the Minister of Power, and Sabo Nanono, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, were removed of their responsibilities by Buhari on Wednesday.

Both Ministers, according to Adesina, were not fired owing to poor performance.

Adesina stated the ministers were removed to re-energize the Buhari administration on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

He explained that they were removed in order to focus on “legacy performance.”

According to Adesina: “Matter of fact is that the president said he had reviewed the performance of the cabinet and needed to reinvigorate for the last run. He said he wanted to consolidate on legacy performance and projects.

“He needed some reinvigoration but he didn’t say anything about weak or poor performance.”

Adesina, however, pointed out that the two ministries that are affected have areas that need improvement.
