(JUST IN) Senate Presidency : Barau, Uzodimma, PDP Govs join Akpabio for thanksgiving in Wike’s LG

Still basking in the euphoria of his emergence as Senate President, Godswill Akpabio on Sunday took his thanksgiving service to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Rumuepirikom, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

News Direct reports that former Governor Nyesom Wike, who mobilised massive support for Akpabio during the keenly contested Senate Presidency election, hails from Obio/Akpor.

Akpabio, during the thanksgiving service, was joined by his deputy, Senator Jibrin Barau from Kano, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo, two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors, Sim Fubara of Rivers and Seyi Makinde of Oyo, among others.

Also present at the service was the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesome Wike.
