Eshi Auta, a personal assistant to the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, has escaped an attempted abduction.
Newsdirect gathered that the kidnappers attacked Auta on Wednesday night as he made his way home in the Tudun Kauri area of Lafia.
The assault left the deputy governor’s aide with external injuries, prompting his immediate admission at the state-owned Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH) in Lafia for treatment.
It was gathered that Auta’s injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, and after receiving medical attention, he was discharged from the hospital.
During the assault, Auta lost personal belongings, including his phone along with other valuables.
The assailants are yet to be identified.
