REVEALED: How Armed Robbers Attempted To Invade Presidential Villa

According to reports, suspects broke into the Presidential Villa in Abuja and attempted to rob top aides to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja was reportedly invaded by a gang of armed robbers who made off with a large amount of cash, according to NEWS DIRECT.

According to reports, the residences of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, and an administrative officer, Abubakar Maikano, were targeted inside the Villa’s grounds.

The robbers took several valuables from both residences during the assault on Sunday, May 9, 2021, according to sources.

Due to the odd incident, both Gambari and Maikano were forced to temporarily leave their residences in the Villa, according to the article.

New information has emerged about how security personnel were able to prevent the intruders from stealing any valuables.

According to The Punch, four police officers were assigned to the residence of Maikano Abdullahi, the Presidential Villa’s Administrative Officer, which was targeted by alleged burglars.

On day and night shifts, the operatives served in pairs, it was discovered.

The structure, which was a few meters away from President Buhari’s home, was also a few meters away from a military post that was normally staffed by four soldiers.

According to the checks, the Presidential Villa precinct building had a watchtower where a sniper was normally posted.

The structure was said to house a large number of contractors and individuals looking to use Abdullahi’s clout and presidential contacts to resolve issues.

According to security reports, the intruders must have thought there was a lot of money in the house.

An armed Mobile Police officer on duty at the time of the break-in was said to have driven the alleged burglars away.

The intruders, who allegedly entered from a back alley, scaled the fence into the compound and, upon seeing an armed police officer inside, jumped over the wall and fled.

“What happened was that the intruders scaled the fence from the backstreet and when they landed inside the compound, they saw an armed MOPOL,” a source said. So they ran and jumped over the fence to get away.”
