Oyetola Congratulates Elder Statesman, Akinrinade On His Birthday
Osun Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has felicitated General Ipoola Alani Akinrinade (rtd.) on his birthday anniversary, describing him as a patriotic Nigerian and democracy icon.
In a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, Oyetola lauded the elder statesman’s sterling contributions to the growth and development of democracy in Nigeria.
He said the history of the struggle to restore democracy and the dignity of Nigeria as a nation cannot be complete without the mention of the unique and courageous roles played by the likes of Akinrinade.
The Governor further said: “On behalf of myself, the government and people of Osun, I congratulate you, on the occasion of your birthday.
“Your credential is one of the selling points of our State. Your profile and contributions are important chapters in the history of Nigeria’s democracy. Osun is proud of you.
“On this day, I pray God to continue to bless you with good health and grant you longer life in the service of Osun, Nigeria and humanity in general. Happy birthday to you, Sir.”
