Rigging Is The Only Thing They Know – Aisha Yesufu Reveals Another Thing Tinubu’s Govt Did

Prominent activist Aisha Yesufu has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration for commissioning the Vice President’s lodge, citing it as evidence of the administration’s incompetence.

Yesufu expressed disbelief that N21 billion could be spent on the lodge without adequate landscaping. She took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice her concerns.

“The incompetence is so glaring, even to themselves. How do you accept this shabby lawn?” she wrote. “The N21 billion was not enough to cover landscaping? How do you come out of your house and the front is looking like a kids’ abandoned football field? Rigging is the only thing they know how to focus on.”

On Friday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially opened the Vice President’s lodge. Tinubu emphasized that providing a suitable residence for the Vice President symbolizes respect for both the office and the individual. Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing Tinubu at the event, stated that the new residence reflects the administration’s commitment to equipping leaders with the necessary tools and resources to serve the Nigerian people effectively and with integrity.

President Tinubu acknowledged that the project had faced multiple challenges over the years, including delays and abandonment by previous administrations. “Rather than dwell on past shortcomings, we have chosen to seize this opportunity to demonstrate our resolve to confront obstacles head-on and deliver on the promises made to the Nigerian people in line with our Renewed Hope Agenda, which has the completion of inherited projects as one of its cardinal objectives,” he said.
