IPOB’s Simon Ekpa Sends Message To FBI Over Abba Kyari

On Saturday, Simon Ekpa, a leading member of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), called on the FBI to investigate Nigerian big guns who he claims are lobbying against the arrest and transfer of accused officer Abba Kyari.

IPOB, led by Ekpa, is campaigning for a new country.

Recall Since the FBI announced that he was being sought for questioning in connection with a $1.1 million multinational cyber-fraud, Kyari has been in the spotlight.

Recall Kyari has been in the eye of the storm since the FBI said it was seeking his arrest over allegations that he abetted a $1.1 million transnational cyber-fraud.

A U.S. grand jury at the District Court of Central District Court of California, is pressing charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to engage in money laundering, and aggravated identity theft against Kyari alongside five others, three of whom have been arrested.

The scam, court filings showed, was spearheaded by a former Nigerian Instagram celebrity, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi, who had pleaded guilty.

Kyari, in a Facebook post, denied any wrongdoing. But still, Ekpa is calling for Kyari’s head.

“I urge @FBI to pay serious attention to Nigeria dignitaries, politicians defending and urging Nigeria Government to resist transfer of Abba Kyari to America to face the charges of Cyber crime and fraud. The FBI should now understand that Nigeria breeds criminals, need for Biafra,” Ekpa wrote on his known Twitter handle.
