JUST IN: Gunmen Kill Three Policemen At Checkpoint In Ebonyi

Unknown gunmen are said to have killed three police officers in Ebonyi State on Monday.

According to Nation, the victims were gunned down on Monday evening in front of Ezillo police station on the Enugu-Abakaliki expressway.

The policemen were said to have mounted a roadblock in front of the station before the gunmen opened fire on them.

The source said the gunmen were in a hummer bus, which the policemen might have mistaken for a commercial vehicle.

“The remains of the three police victims have been deposited at a mortuary in Abakaliki after they were confirmed dead by doctors,” a source said.
