Security Operatives Rescue 69 Kidnapped Victims In Bauchi

Alhaji Abdulrazaq Nuhu Zaki, the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs for the state of Bauchi, has announced that security personnel have freed 69 victims who have been kidnapped throughout the state.

They were released on Saturday by security forces and the vigilante, according to NEWS DIRECT.

He claimed that the jungle where the bandits were holding the victims was raided by security personnel.

The commissioner said in a statement on Friday that Governor Bala Mohammed had given the council chairman, vigilantes, traditional leaders, security officers, and all other stakeholders more motivation to put an end to banditry in their region.

He said Governor Bala led the battle himself, having visited the affected areas, commiserated with the people and encouraged them to resist the kidnappers.

The commissioner said the dislodgement of the bandits would bring big relief to people that had been terrorised, just as he commended the security agencies.
