Popular Activist, Deji Adeyanju Mocks Atiku For Attending Buhari Son’s Wedding

Atiku Abubakar, the former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, has been mocked for attending the wedding of President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf, in Kano State.

Atiku attended the wedding of Buhari’s son while disregarding the PDP’s issue, according to Deji Adeyanju, a famous Abuja-based rights campaigner.

According to Adeyanju, the former Vice President was in Morocco during the PDP crisis last week, but rushed back to Kano to attend Yusuf’s wedding.

“All throughout the PDP crisis in the last 3 weeks + the resignation of their NWC members, Atiku was in Morocco chilling with his new wife but Buhari’s son wedding is so urgent, he had to come back to attend,” Adeyanju wrote in a series of tweets.

Atiku, along with some PDP leaders, had attended Yusuf’s wedding.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode, and some PDP governors attended the wedding.

Meanwhile, the PDP has been experiencing some internal strife.

Some disgruntled PDP members demanded that the party’s National Chairman, Uche Secondus, quit.

Former members of the ruling party had accused Secondus of mismanaging the PDP.

Several members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have recently switched to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This had exacerbated the party’s internal problems.
