Pastor Adeboye Rechristened Me Abraham, Called Me Father Of Nations — Tinubu [VIDEO]
Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, asserts that Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, rechristened him as Abraham.
The day his wife, Remi, was ordained a pastor in the RCCG, according to the former governor of Lagos State, the RCCG general overseer referred to him as the father of countries.
“I was present the day my wife was ordained as a pastor. I was given the name Abraham by Pastor Adeboye,” said Tinubu. “I said, ‘What does it mean?’ The nation’s father, he claimed.
This information was revealed by Tinubu on Monday during a speech to the Christian Association of Nigeria’s Kano chapter. Peoples Gazette is unable to quickly confirm his assertion, though.
Tinubu’s choice of a Muslim running mate in the person of former Borno State governor Kashim Shettima has been met with criticisms from Christians, with many accusing the ruling APC of an agenda to Islamise Nigeria.
Lawan Babachir, a Tinubu ally, and APC chieftain had threatened that Christians will vote against the APC, describing the same faith ticket as “satanic.”
