P-Square Crisis: Peter Slams Paul, Makes New Revelations (Read Full Letter)

Peter Okoye, one half of the renowned Nigerian music duo P-Square, has responded to his brother Paul Okoye’s recent interviews in which Paul claimed to have written and sung 99% of their songs.

Peter, expressing his disappointment and hurt, addressed these claims in an open letter on X.com (formerly Twitter) on Monday.

Peter highlighted several songs he had contributed to, including “Ejeajo,” “Get-Squared,” “Bizzy Body,” and “Personally,” which Paul failed to acknowledge in his interviews. He expressed frustration over Paul’s frequent use of “I” and “me” in interviews, which he felt diminished the collaborative nature of their success.

Peter emphasized that the magic of P-Square was in their combined effort and unique partnership, not in the work of a single individual. He urged his brother to recognize that their fans loved them for their unity and joint talent. Peter also reflected on their past success as a duo and questioned the current state of their solo careers compared to their time as P-Square.

In his heartfelt message, Peter wished Paul the best but called for a focus on reclaiming their position as Africa’s top music group by working together again. He also noted that, despite Paul’s efforts to turn fans against him, he believed they both had let down their supporters by allowing their feud to persist.
