The Super Eagles of Nigeria have managed a 3-2 win over the Mambas of Mozambique in an international friendly on Monday afternoon, October 16.
Having played a 2-2 draw with the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia inside the Estadio Municipal De Portimao in Portugal on Friday night, Jose Peseiro’s side went all out for the win against the Mambas.
However, they had to come from behind to secure victory, with goalkeeper Francis Uzoho struggling again.
Barely six minutes into the encounter, Geny Catamo opened the scoring for Mozambique in a dramatic fashion, as Uzoho was hapless in goal.
The striker managed to tuck home a delightful ball into the six-yard area, but his tame effort still went past the Nigerian shot-stopper.
In the 19th minute, Terem Moffi drew the West African side level as he finished coolly from inside the box.

Frank Onyeka then put Nigeria ahead in the 30th minute when he was assisted by Dele-Bashiru.
Mozambique were reduced to ten players after Edmilson Gabriel Dove bagged a red card in the 39th minute. Nigeria capitalised and then Moses Simon tucked home from the penalty spot in the first-half stoppage time.
And ten minutes into the second half, Faisal Bangal reduced the deficit when he fired home from a freekick to make it 3-2.
Despite efforts by the Nigerians to extend their lead, they could only hang on, and that was how it ended.
