Nigeria Records 248 New COVID-19 Cases, 17 Deaths
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says it has recorded 248 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.
In a tweet on Sunday night, the NCDC said that the new cases had taken the total number of infections in the country to 4,399. The 248 new cases are reported from 17 states.
It said: “248 new cases of #COVID19; 81-Lagos. 35-Jigawa, 26-Borno, 26-Kano, 20-Bauchi, 13-FCT, 12-Edo, 10-Sokoto, 7-Zamfara, 4-Kwara, 4-Kebbi, 2-Gombe, 2-Taraba
2-Ogun, 2-Ekiti, 1-Osun, 1-Bayelsa.
” Of the 4399 cases have been confirmed, 779 cases have been discharged and 143 deaths have been recorded”.
