Group calls on Hon. Samuel Otibe to account for diverted funds and palliatives
A foremost coalition of professionals in Ahiazu Mbaise has called on the embattled Member representing Ahiazu Constituency in Imo House Assembly, Hon. Samuel Otibe, to account for millions of naira meant for party members allegedly diverted by him for private uses.
In an emergency meeting convened last night in Umuezuo Umuokrika, the leaders of APF frowned at the diversionary tactic of Mr Otibe, who, it was learnt, procured the police to arrest one Mr Ikenna Ohaeri who has been exposing the fraudulent activities of the Honourable Member in the social media.
Prince Charles Anabalam, Convener of the group, further called on the Nigerian Police in Imo State ”not to allow themselves to be used by unscrupulous and dubious politicians like Otibe.”
According to the group, the Nigerian Police is doing commendable work in Ahiazu Local Government and must be allowed to remain non-partisan in discharging the duties.
The APF thanked the Commissioner of Police in Imo State for diligently carrying out his duties.
The APF further noted that the embezzlement involving Mr Otibe is now a subject of ridicule among all Ahiazu people as all the details are in social media.
The group vowed that despite efforts to distract the discerning voters of Ahiazu Constituency, ”it is now clear that Mr Otibe is in office to enrich himself at the expense of the people of the LGA.”
