Bandits Release 10 Of 13 Kidnapped Zaria LG Staff

The Kaduna State Police Command has announced the release of 10 of the 13 Zaria Local Government Council personnel who were kidnapped.

The LG staff regained their freedom on Saturday, according to the PPRO, ASP Mohammed Jalige.
According to Jalige, police operatives have increased their efforts to free the remaining three LG employees.

According to a relative of one of the rescued LG workers, a ransom of N40 million was paid before the robbers released the ten LG workers.

The kidnappers agreed to release the last three provided three motorcycles were made available to them, according to him.

“They have yet to meet their relatives since they are having treatment in the hospital,” he explained.

The Local Government Council is prepared to supply the three motorcycles so that the remaining three LG employees can be discharged, according to journalists.

It may be recalled that LG workers who boarded a bus to commiserate with a colleague were led to the kidnappers’ cave in a Kaduna forest by a bandit collaborator.
