Tension As Corpse Of Top Anambra Leader Was Found, Gov Soludo Orders Clamp Down On His Killers
Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has strongly condemned the brutal murder of Mr. Silas Onyima, the President-General of Umuoji community, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state, by unknown assailants.
This platform gathered that Mr. Silas Onyima was gruesomely murdered on Friday night by unknown persons in his home and his lifeless body was left naked in a pool of blood in a bathtub in his house.
In a press release issued by his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident, denouncing it as a despicable act of unprovoked violence.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Onyima, the Umuoji community, and the entire Idemili North Local Government Area,” Soludo remarked.
He emphasized the need for calm and urged Anambra residents to cooperate with security agencies in maintaining peace and order in the state.
“This senseless killing represents an affront to the peace and security we are collectively working to build in Anambra State,” Soludo affirmed, vowing to ensure that the perpetrators face justice swiftly.
Governor Soludo directed state security agencies to take immediate and decisive action to apprehend the culprits and ensure their prosecution to serve as a deterrent to others, Aburime added.
He reiterated the state government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, reaffirming its resolve not to be swayed by the actions of criminals seeking to disrupt peace and progress in Anambra.
