Mustapha Rabiu Musa, the son of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has been sworn in to head the state Ministry of Youth and Sports.
This cabinet reshuffle by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf also saw the appointment of three other commissioners and changes in the portfolios of several ministries.
Governor Yusuf conducted the swearing-in ceremony for the younger Kwankwaso and the three other newly cleared commissioners by the State House of Assembly on Thursday.
The other appointees include Abduljabbar Garko for the Land and Survey Ministry, Shehu Aliyu Yarmedi for the Ministry for Special Duties, and Adamu Aliyu Kibiya for the Commerce and Industry ministry.
Kibiya, who was previously sacked for inciting comments against the vice president and threatening the Election Petition Tribunal judges while heading the Ministry for Land and Physical Planning, has been redeployed to the Commerce and Industry ministry.
The Rural and Community Development Ministry, previously led by Abbas Sani Abbas, will now be headed by Safiyanu Hamza Kachako, who was previously heading the ministry but is now a commissioner without portfolio.

Additionally, the newly introduced Humanitarian Ministry will be headed by the former Commissioner for Special Duties, Amina Abdullahi Sani.
However, as of the time of this report, the newly created Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security does not have an assigned commissioner.
