JUST IN: Police Reveals How Its Men Tracked Down Popular Whistleblower Who Claimed He Was Uncatchable

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has confirmed the arrest of a well-known whistleblower who operates under the handle @PIDOMNIGERIA on X (formerly Twitter).

Before his arrest, the whistleblower had confidently stated that he was untouchable, referring to himself as “breeze.”

PIDOM gained recognition for exposing corruption by leaking sensitive documents related to the federal government, security agencies, state governments, and private companies.

Concerns about his safety were first raised by investigative journalist David Hundeyin, who noticed the whistleblower’s sudden absence from social media.

The NPF’s spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner of Police Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed PIDOM’s arrest in a statement on Saturday. According to Adejobi, the arrest was made on August 5, 2024, in Rivers State, as part of a coordinated effort by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC).
