BREAKING: CBN Governor, Emefiele Withdraws His Presidential Bid

Godwin Emefiele, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has withdrawn from the presidential race in 2023, according to a reliable source.

Emefiele’s eventual withdrawal came after weeks of speculation that he may run for the seat in the 2017 general elections.

“CBN Governor has withdrawn from the presidential race and has communicated his intention to continue as CBN Governor,” the source said.

On Thursday, the Governor met with President Buhari and may have informed him of his final choice.

Despite declining to comment following the meeting, Emefiele had promised State House reporters that an announcement would be made soon.

“There is no news now, but there will be news.

“Let them have a heart attack.its good to have a heart attack. I am having a lot of fun”, Emefiele said of his many critics who had called him to resign as the CBN Governor and face his political ambition.
