JUST IN: Abdulsalami, others meets Buhari in Aso Rock

The National Peace Accord Committee headed by former military head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar is currently in a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Members of the committee arrived the presidential villa at about 3pm and headed straight to the President’s office.

Those at the meeting included the former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Bishop of Sokoto, Hassan Matthew Kukah, Cardinal John Onaiyekan and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole.

The meeting with the President was still in progress at the time of filing this report.

The Peace Committee on Thursday also met with the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, who came second in the election.
